Lesson 3 – The Geometry Problem Solved

The goal of this lesson is as follows:   To illustrate how the Damon Ultima system solves the problem that is created when a rectangle fits into a rectangle. Due to the clearance that is created in traditional systems, there is a lack of control. The design of the bracket and the wires that are fabricated as a system removes the clearance issues and allow for a full expression system in all 3-planes of space and, at the same time, finds a passive state once the tooth has been moved to its planned position

The three learning objectives are:

  1. To understand that the bracket and wire design allows for full expression of the wire.
  2. After the wire has expressed its deflection, the system returns to a passive state.
  3. Treatment can be simplified by removing the clearance issue between the bracket and the wire.
